Prime Minister Modi to Inaugurate New Flights from Ayodhya
New Delhi: In a significant development for Indian aviation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the newly constructed Maryada Purshottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya on December 30, 2023. This event marks a milestone in enhancing connectivity to the holy city of Ayodhya, known for its cultural and religious significance.
IndiGo’s New Flight Schedule
From January 10, 2024, IndiGo, one of India’s leading budget airlines, will commence daily direct flights from Delhi to Ayodhya. The flight is scheduled to depart from Delhi at 11:55 AM and arrive in Ayodhya at 1:15 PM. The return flight from Ayodhya will leave at 1:45 PM and land in Delhi at 3:00 PM.
In addition to the Delhi-Ayodhya route, IndiGo will also connect Ayodhya with Ahmedabad. Starting from January 11, flights from Ahmedabad will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, departing at 9:10 AM and arriving in Ayodhya at 11:00 AM. The return flight will leave Ayodhya at 11:30 AM and reach Ahmedabad at 1:40 PM.
Inaugural Flight Adjustments
For the inauguration day on December 30, 2023, a special schedule has been arranged. The inaugural flight from Delhi will depart earlier than usual, at 9:50 AM, and is expected to land in Ayodhya at 11:00 AM. Following this special event, regular operations will commence from January 10, 2024.

The introduction of these new flights is a strategic move by IndiGo, particularly ahead of the much-anticipated inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. This initiative is expected to boost tourism and provide convenient travel options for pilgrims and tourists visiting this historic city.
